Valentine’s Day Romantic Tour
Have a date in the city of love!
A playful, story-driven walking tour in Budapest where history turns into a romantic liaison, that couldn’t be complete without chocolate, Tinder of the belle époque, Hungarian spirits, stolen jewelry and a BIG question…
On this Valentine’s special walking tour, your guide introduces you to Budapest’s golden age through a playful, story-driven perspective:
How a single Hungarian soul navigates love and dating in the early 1900s?
We start at Oktogon, and witness Hungary’s first recorded car accident. Walk along the famous Andrássy avenue and learn where to buy the necessary dress to impress. With our new imaginary outfits we visit the Opera House a.k.a. Tinder of the 1900s – and fall in love.
How will this love story end? Come and find out with us! In the meantime, you will learn a lot about Hungarian history, art, architecture – and dating habits of the early 20th century.
We will end the tour at the love locks of Erzsébet square, where people from all over the world have locked their names, promises, and stories onto the fences. Some of those couples are still together. Some are not.
But for a moment, all of them believed in love.
Join us in this unique adventure, that is perfect for couples, friends, or anyone who loves a good story!
