Szentendre – the picture perfect town of the Danube Bend
Half-day in the Artists’ village
Szentendre, named after St. Andrew, although it is a small town near Budapest but full of exciting sights.
This countryside tour focuses on this colourful city with the most unique vibe of the region: Szentendre. The small, riverfront town is the Northernmost part of Budapest’s metropolitan zone. This former Roman holiday resort is today known as the artists’ village.
The area is famous for its unique atmosphere created by a mixture of lovely churches, interesting galleries, narrow pedestrian streets and a unique, friendly atmosphere. A postcard perfect day is waiting for you in the so-called „Artists’ village”.
If you don’t fancy a private minivan, or you would like to cut back on costs, you can also alter the tour into a more sustainable fashion! Travelling to Szentendre is also feasible utilising the retro suburban train to and from Budapest downtown to Szentendre. The journey takes about 50 minutes one way. In this case the tour is about 5 hours long, instead of four. During the summer months taking a cruise to and from Szentendre is possible too. For details, prices , send us an email!
