Live streaming tour of the Jewish quarter

Have a glance at the exciting and rich culture of the Hungarian Jewish community

During this live virtual walking tour we walk you through the heart of the historical Jewish quarter of Pest, which is one of the most interesting parts of Budapest’s city centre.

During this roughly 60 minutes long sightseeing tour I’ll introduce you to the main synagogues of this neighbourhood from the outside. Besides that you can also learn about how and why Jewish families moved to Pest, how the community took part in the historical events, what led to the separation of the different congregations and what is the difference between neolog and orthodox.

While we walk from one synagogue to the other I also tell you a few stories about those who’ve been awarded with Righteous Among the Nations title.

This live virtual Jewish quarter tour can be a perfect complement to our thematic virtual tour in the Buda Castle district, or even to our basic Pest tour as the historical Jewish quarter tour covers a different part of the Pest side.
